That’s right — avocado for dessert and it certainly hits the spot! I understand you probably won’t believe me until you try this for yourself, so if you’re game, here is the super simple recipe:
- 2 avocados
- 3 frozen ripe bananas
- 1 tsp coconut nectar
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
- small handful of cacao nibs
Blend the avocados, bananas, nectar and cacao powder until the mixture combines into a creamy mousse-like texture.
Remove the mixture from the blender and stir through the cacao nibs to add some crunch.
Like all mousses, this is quite rich to eat. The crunch of the cacao nibs through the mixture makes it just right to eat small portions on its own, otherwise it’s delicious mixed up with some chia pudding, berries and/or granola for extra crunch.
